Taryn's 3rd birthday
Today was Taryn's 3rd birthday! I stole my sister-in-laws idea about how to celebrate birthdays. So what we do is just let Taryn pick out everything that she wanted to do that day and even eat. So we started our morning off by crowning Taryn as queen for the day. She decided that she wanted Cinnamon rolls, eggs and chocolate milk for breakfast. After breakfast we headed out to the bounce house. At first I was a little worried because for some reason Darek was really scared, but he finally warmed up to the idea of jumping climbing and going down slides and the kids and I had a blast. So much fun that when we got home they both took a nap from 1 o'clock all the way to five. I had no problem with that though because Taryn had a pretty tall order for the cake I believe these were her exact words,"I want a cake with a castle that had hoursies running with princesses riding the hoursies and mermaids in the water." Unfortunately I do not have the skills to make such a cake, but I tried my best to at least make the horsie cake. Once the kids woke up we headed to Great Grandma's and Grandpa's place to have the tea party that she requested for dinner and to have cake. It was a fun day and most important I think Taryn had fun. There is one thing that we weren't able to do that she wanted and that was to go see Tangled again so we just settled for watching little clips of it on YouTube.
